I’ve toyed with the idea of having guest writers on my blog for a long time.  I’ve had so many fascinating conversations with fellow punks over the years that I always felt should have been shared with others.

Instead of taking countless hours out of my already busy schedule being a dad, a punk, a student and a blogger, or indeed expecting anyone else to take a significant amount of time out of theirs by writing in, I decided in a moment of enlightenment that I could just publish the conversations themselves, direct online, straight from the tape.  Or the digital recording device that will be two telephones… Which is a quite brilliant idea from my editor/producer who goes by the name Gonzo.  It’s actually only ever me who calls him that…

The idea is that when I’m out and about on my travels, either playing with one of the bands, or indeed simply when on holiday, to entice various friends from the scene to the local coffee shop, or a similarly peaceful spot, and to sit and have a deep and meaningful chat about life in the scene, life on the road, life in general, good and bad, funny and sad.
